I have a story to tell…
When he was here, I never had to worry about bills, food, or our children’s future.

This was a real conversation I’ll never forget.
Some years ago, I sat with a client who flat-out refused to take a Takaful plan. His reason?
“I don’t want to leave my wife too much money… What if she marries another man?”
He said it jokingly (maybe he was not), but I saw through the smile. This man had a wife and two very young children. So I gently asked,
“Why did your wife stop working?”
He paused, then answered,
“Because I wanted her to focus on raising our children.”
Exactly.
So I continued,
“If something happened to you, do you think it would be easy for her—at her age, with two small kids—to suddenly jump back into the workforce?”
“Do you have enough savings to cover school fees, food, clothes, a roof over their heads… for the next 20+ years?”
He admitted he didn’t.
Let’s do the math:
He was earning RM10,000 a month.
His youngest was only 1 year old.
Assuming he’d continue working for another 25 years until the child completes university, that’s RM10k x 12 x 25 = RM3 million.
Unless he had that stashed away, how would his family cope?
Then he said something that made my heart sink:
“She can just find another husband, can’t she?”
I looked at him and said,
“So… you expect another man to feed, raise, clothe, and educate your children?”
Silence.
This isn’t just about love or trust but this is also about responsibility and leaving behind dignity, not desperation.
Takaful isn’t for the person who’s gone.
It’s for those left behind, so they don’t have to beg, settle, or be forced into difficult choices just to survive.
If you truly love your family, your protection shouldn’t end with your last breath.

1 Juta Annual Limit, Tapi Kenapa Tak Approve Semua?
Padahal dalam plan ni, annual limit RM1,000,000. So kenapa tak terus approve je semua amount tu sekali harung?
Sebab GL (Guarantee Letter) takkan approve lump sum terus sampai RM1 juta. GL approval ikut apa yang hospital apply, berdasarkan keperluan rawatan semasa. It’s a continuous process — dari satu fasa rawatan ke satu lagi — sampai la patient discharge.
King’s Char Kuey Teow
