How to Register a Domain Name on EasyBytes

Written by

So you’ve got a great idea — maybe for a blog, business, or your own personal space online. But first things first: you need a domain name. That’s basically your website’s address on the internet, like aliyawanders.com.

I used EasyBytes.my because it’s local and easy to use. Here’s how you can do it step by step:

Step 1: Go to EasyBytes.my

Click here to get to Easybytes

Then click on domain.

Step 2: Search for Your Domain Name

Type in the name you want — for example, yourdreamname.com — and click search.

Pro tip:

  • .com is the most common and used worldwide.
  • If you’re more Malaysia-focused, you can go with .my, .com.my, or even .biz.my.

What if it’s taken?
EasyBytes will tell you right away. If your dream name is unavailable, they’ll give you similar suggestions or other extensions (like .net, .co, .my, etc).

Step 3: Choose How Many Years You Want to Register

Default is 1 year, but you can go for 2 or more if you want to secure the name long term. Some people even go for 5 years — no need to worry about renewals.

Step 4: Add to Cart

If your name is available, you’ll see the price and a little “Add to cart” button next to it. Click it. You’ve now locked in your domain name (kind of like reserving a seat at a café!).

And, click Continue at the bottom right.

Step 5: Checkout and Create an Account

Choose Registrant Type, NRIC Name & NRIC Number and Continue.

Step 5: Checkout and Create an Account

You’ll be asked to sign up or log in. Just use your email and set a strong password. (No “password123”, please.)

Then fill in your basic info — name, email, phone number & address. All standard stuff.

Step 6: Payment Time

You’ll be redirected to the payment page. EasyBytes accepts:

  • Online banking (FPX)
  • Credit/debit cards
  • GrabPay or Boost

Choose whichever works for you and follow the prompts.

Step 7: Confirmation Email

Once payment is successful, you’ll get an email saying “Yay! Your domain is yours!” (Okay, not exactly that wording, but close enough.)

That email will contain your receipt and details of the domain name.

Bonus Tip: What Happens Next?

Now that you’ve got the domain:

  • You can connect it to a website builder (like WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace).
  • Or, pair it with web hosting if you want to build your own site from scratch.

Don’t worry — EasyBytes offers hosting too, and they have helpful guides to walk you through the setup.

6 Jilake: Sinematografi Cantik, dan Kisah Pahlawan yang Rare

Semalam, Liya sempat ke premiere filem 6 Jilake dengan my friends — dan honestly, it was a wild ride. Bayangkan gabungan adventure, dry humor, aksi, dan sedikit misteri and even a dash of spooky, semua dalam satu filem yang berlatarbelakangkan abad ke-18.

Kalau korang suka lawak jenis bersahaja, yang tak try hard, this is the kind of movie you’ll appreciate.
