How Many Times Can We Go to Sunway Lagoon?

Written by

Just so you know, this review is not sponsored. I paid for everything myself, and all opinions are entirely my own. I’m sharing my honest experience to help you decide if it’s worth checking out!

It’s that time of the year again—Sunway MEGA Roadshow 2025! This is where we always secure our Sunway Lagoon annual pass for the family. I can’t even remember if this is our second or third time getting it. What I do remember is that we first got our passes at this very roadshow a few years ago, and we’ve never looked back since.

Pink Island at the Surf Beach.

How Do We Make the Most of Our Annual Pass?

Here’s the thing—when you have an annual pass, you don’t have to stress about making every visit count like a once-in-a-lifetime trip. No need to spend the whole day squeezing in every ride. We come when we want, for what we want.

Our usual routine? Afternoon visits, a few rides, and then straight to the surf beach for the waves. After all, Sunway Lagoon’s Surf Beach is the biggest in the world!

On weekdays, if I finish my meetings early, I pick up my son from school and straight to Sunway Lagoon we go. No traffic, no crowds, just good times.

The Finale – Quack of The Seven Seas

On public holiday eves, we stay until closing to catch the fire show. And if you haven’t seen the Sunway Lagoon Fire Show, what are you even doing with your life? We’ve watched it so many times, yet somehow, it keeps getting better and better every time!

Now that you’ve had a glimpse of what Sunway Lagoon has to offer, keep scrolling for more!

Is the Annual Pass Worth It?

Well, let’s do the math. We go at least 5-6 times a year (sometimes more). A single-day pass costs about the same as the RM198 annual pass, so obviously the way to go.

Wait, there’s more—you can’t buy the annual pass over the counter at Sunway Lagoon. You can only get it at the Sunway MEGA Roadshow. So if you want one, you better catch them while you can!

Why Do We Keep Coming Back?

The Surf Pool is a must for us.

1. The Surf Pool – The Main Attraction For Our Family

The biggest artificial surf Pool in the world. The big waves start at around 5 PM (if the weather is on our side). And with music and dancers on stage, it feels like a family-friendly beach party that happens daily.

The Vuvuzela in the background.

2. The Rides – Thrill Levels for Everyone

Have you been on the Vuvuzela at the Water Park? No? Me neither. Hahaha! But my boys have, and they love it. They keep telling me it’s “not that scary” but… yeah, I’ll take their word for it.

Meanwhile, you’ll find me at Captain’s Splash Adventure Park at Sunway Lost Lagoon—aka the “scared mom-friendly” water play area. That’s about as adventurous as I get when it comes to water slides.

Zambezi River

For something chill and relaxing, we love floating down the slow Zambezi river at Little Zimbabwe in the Water Park. Rent a double float and just let the gentle current take you on a mini healing journey.

3. Sunway Lagoon Wildlife Park – A Surprise Favourite

This is one of our most-visited parks. If we come from the main entrance, we always stop here first before heading to the Water Park.

Fun fact: You can visit this park both during the day and at night! If you come at night, for an extra fee,you get to meet and feed raccoons (yes, actual raccoons). You can also feed crocodiles—if you’re into that kind of thing.

The animal show is simple, but honestly? I prefer just walking around the park, surrounded by greenery and animals. It’s peaceful.

The Night Park – A Whole Different Vibe

This is still a work in progress, but it’s already fun. Currently, there are about 6 rides, including a carousel, a few activities like rock climbing and fish feeding, and the highlight—the night shows at Quack Theatre.

If you haven’t seen the fire show and are curious about it, check it out on my YouTube channel! The show is now called Quack on the 7 Seas.

Want more? There are plenty of videos from the Night Park at Sunway Lagoon—check them out below!

The Jolly Roger Dance Show

Kids can even join in on the fun with a lively dance activity!

Oh, and if you enjoy mocktails and spirits, there’s now a new tavern inside the park with a nice view.

Just Get the Pass.

For RM198 a year, we get unlimited visits, big waves, fun rides, and a legit fire show that getting better and bolder. Sunway Lagoon is basically our weekend playground at this point.

So, are you getting the pass this year? Or are you still paying full price like a tourist?

Cameron Highlands Revisited: A Rainy Trip!

Day 1

It’s been ages since we last visited Cameron Highlands as a family! The last time Azfar was here, he was still in kindergarten, now he’s in high school! So much has changed over the years, with new spots to explore, but with the school holidays and the rainy season in full swing, our time was more about dodging rain than sightseeing. Not to mention, this wasn’t exactly a holiday trip, it was a working one!

First we run, then we feast!

What’s a good run if it’s not followed by good food and great company? After the Coway Run, we headed to a place we’d never been before—TGSK in Bukit Antarabangsa, on Sisda’s recommendation.
