So I showed up to the launch of the new JETOUR Dashing, dressed head-to-toe in shocking pink. The plan? To steal the spotlight. To blind people with my fabulousness. To shine like a walking highlighter. But guess what? I kalah dengan the car. That Dashing really lives up to its name — sleek, bold, and 100% the main character.
Okay, let’s talk about the car (I’ll stop being dramatic now… maybe).
First things first — no, the Dashings that launched yesterday were not EV.
If you thought this SUV was electric, hold your charging cable. The JETOUR Dashing runs on petrol — a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine, to be exact — producing 156 PS and 230 Nm of torque. So you don’t need to hunt for charging stations just yet. It’s not electric, and it’s not a hybrid either. Just a good ol’ reliable turbo petrol engine with the kind of smooth performance that makes your daily drives feel a bit more exciting.
And it’s paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) — meaning gear changes are seamless, and you get better fuel efficiency without losing the fun.

Design-wise? You couldn’t ask for more.
You’ve got two trims to choose from — Comfort (RM109,800) and Prime (RM116,800). The colours? All very “atas”: Carbon Black, Khaki White, Aurora Green, Phantom Grey, and Hematite Red. Classy, but still sporty. Trust me, even if you’re just picking up groceries, you’ll still look expensive.
Step inside and it’s modern and sporty. Think dual-tone interior, red stitching, a 12.8-inch touchscreen (massive!), and full connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You also get a digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charging, and my favourite — a panoramic sunroof. For when you want to drive and feel dramatic, macam in a movie.

The safety features of this car are what makes this mama-heart happy
– Lane Departure Warning
– Adaptive Cruise Control
– 360° Camera
And Dashing Prime provides even more peace of mind.
– Cruise Control system*
– Blind Spot Detection*
– Rear Collision Traffic Alert*
– Panaromic Surround Camera*
– Door Open Warning*
And more, to keep you safe when your brain is still at brunch.
At the launch, Mr. Ke from JETOUR mentioned that this model fits perfectly into their Travel+ strategy — enhancing travel through smarter, tech-driven rides. JETOUR isn’t new to the game. They’ve sold over 1.6 million vehicles in 65 countries, and now Malaysia is a big part of their expansion plans.
There’s also big news on the assembly front. Mr. Ke Chuandeng and Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Vincent Tan signed an agreement between Berjaya Assembly and JETOUR Malaysia, which means these cars will be assembled locally — with all the smart tech under INDUSTRY 4.0, including AI, IoT, and robotics. Very futuristic, very cool.
And they’re not stopping there. JETOUR plans to open 30 new 4S and 3S centres across Malaysia by 2025 — including in Selangor, Penang, Ipoh, Johor, Sabah, and Sarawak. Whether you’re in the city or on the islands, service is covered.
The JETOUR Dashing will officially be available at showrooms nationwide starting April 2025. So if you’re looking for an SUV that’s stylish, safe, and surprisingly affordable — this one deserves a spot on your test-drive list.
Just maybe don’t wear pink when you do. Trust me. You won’t win and I’ve tried it.

Having Sales Anxiety?

I still remember my first cold call—palms sweaty, heart racing, voice cracking like a teenager in a school play. I had rehearsed my pitch a hundred times, yet the second the prospect picked up, my brain staged a full shutdown.

I could smell the grilled lamb and chicken even before I stepped out of my car—like a delicious smoky welcome mat inviting me in. Coming here on a weekday, especially a Friday in February, means no crazy crowds yet, which is a win for my stomach and my patience.
