If there’s one thing AiA Public Takaful knows how to do, it’s throw a proper jamuan!
This year’s Raya Open House was basically a full-on kenduri — we’re talking rendang, soto, satey, kambing golek, and to top it off, bottomless Tealive drinks and Inside Scoop ice cream. Lupakan je la nak diet, kita start esok je ok!
And let me share the spread of our kenduri, I mean, the open house.
But of course, it’s not just about the makan — we also had an oversized pickleball match on stage (because why not?), live music to set the mood, and a karaoke session where our life planners unleashed their hidden rockstar alter egos.
High energy 11/10, but singing pitch was questionable. But the most important part is, the fun was OFF THE CHARTS.
Honestly, as much as we see each other in our weekly meetings, there’s just something different — something feel-good — about gathering semua sekali at an event like this.
It’s a different vibe when you get to meat (pun very intended) everyone properly, without a Zoom window between us (remember during lock downs?)
And this year felt extra special because we have quite a few new faces in the team. Tapi I’m also so proud — jumpa geng OG dari 10 tahun lepas, masa mula-mula kita join this agency (I was originally from another APTB team before). A decade later and we’re still standing strong! And you know it’s not easy #iykyk.
(Brb, wiping a single proud tear.)
Oh, and can we talk about the door gifts?
We each received a super cute pouch from Komuniti Tukang Jahit — a social enterprise that empowers B40 women. Love the cause, love the pouches!
Extra seronok pulak being in a team that’s mostly boys — sebab guess what?
They gave me their pouches! So now I have three designs: Kopi-O, Teh Tarik, and Bahulu. Collector level: unlocked.
Not me, 30 minutes after the event, already browsing Komuniti Tukang Jahit’s TikTok Shop to see what else I can add to my collection.
